Ladle Rests

Made ladle rests and drew/colored different drawings. It was my first time carving the drawings out and filling them with glaze. I made these rests so that placing cooking utensils such as a ladle, spatula, and tong become more conveninent. Sold them at the Wesleyan Artist Market and during Christmas. Earned $335 in total and donated to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Lemon Plates

Made simple plates and drew lemons & leafs. Coated with clear glaze after. 

I love fruit designs and saw this lemon deisgn from Pinterest. I wanted a piece that was summery and bright, so I decided to make these. 

Bowls

Made bowls with 2lb clay and glazed the inside with dark blue and outside with clear. Big enough for soup and noodles!

It was really hard making these bowls because I've never done anything big like this before. I got some help from my pottery instructor, but I'm happy that it turned pretty good. I don't have a big bowl like this at home, so I decided to make these. 

Candle/Wax Warmer

Made a cylinder for the body and cut a half circle shape, making an opening for the candle. Made a small plate where we can put wax in. Glazed with clear-green color. 

I again saw this design from Pinterest and wanted to make one. I've never tried anything like this - making separate pieces and making a hole in a pot. It was an interesting experience and learned a lot about how I can do anything I want with clay. 

Cup

Made a cup with bubble shape. Glazed blue inside and clear outside. Perfect for iced coffee!

I love these bubble shapes, which make the cups really cute. Because these cups don't need handles, it was more conveninent and fun to make the dents. 

Teapot & teacup set

Made a teapot and two teacups. Painted the outside with sky blue and glazed with clear. 

It was my first time making the pot's mouth. It was really interesting see how I can make it with the wheel and attaching it to the pot. I painted some white clouds over the blue blackground, but the glaze didn't show up. But overall, the set turned out really nice!

Small jug/pitcher

Made a cylinderical body and attached its mouth and a handle. Decorated with colorful circles. 

I wanted to try some new designs, so I decorated using circular sponges with paint on them. 

Pots

Pots with green-white glaze. Made a lid for one of the pots.

I really liked the color of the glaze, so I wanted to try out with these pieces!

Jar

Made a jar with 2-3 lb clay. Moon jar shape. 

This is one of the bigger pots in my collection. It was hard trying to bring up the walls from the bottom, esepcially since it was heavy, but the shape turned out pretty good. 

Pochaco Plate

Made a simple plate and added a Pochaco figure in the middle. 

I made a simple plate while teaching a class, and I wanted to decorate something with it. Looking through pinterest, I saw this dog character named Pochacco and decided to make a 3D shaped figure!

Baguette

Made a jellycat-inspired baguette pottery

Inpired by one of the pottery content creater who made this, I also wanted to try out. I first shaped a long clynderical shape and dug out all the clay inside - the pot can explode if the clay is too dense. Then I added details to make it look more like a baguette! 

Cup

Made a cylinder and attached a handle to make a cup. I haven't made a cup in a while so I wanted to make one. 

Round pots

Made two different design of round pots for storage like braceletes.
