These are some photos from the Wesleyan Artist Market where I sold various ladle rests with my sister. I chose to make ladel rests because they are practical and are easy to make. As a person who cooks a lot, I noticed how inconveinent it is to place used utensils such as a ladle, spoon, spatula, and tongs directly on the counter top or hold them in hand while cooking. I would often use paper towels to keep the utensils clean and prevent grease or sauce from getting on the counter, but this created unnecessary waste. I wanted to show how a simple ladle rest could make cooking more conveninent while reducing the need for paper towels.
