Workshop

With EduBud Internationl, I organized and led a pottery workshop for individuals with intellectual disabilities with the goal of making creative experiences more accessible to members of the community. 

During the workshop, participants learned how to make a pinch pot and design their ceramic bowls inspired by things they love, such as animals, plants, and other meaningful objects. The pinch pots were created to hold items that are personally important to teach participant, encouraging both creativity and personal expression. 

This workshop was designed to introduce the joy of pottery to individuals who may have limited access to art materials and creative opportunities. Beyond learning a new artistic skills, participants developed patience, fine motor skills, and creativity as they shaped and decorated their pieces. Pottery also encouraged them to embrace imperfections, recognizing that each handmade creating is unique and reflects the individuality of its maker.

Making pinch pots!

First, make a clay ball. Then poke a finger in the middle of the ball. Expand the walls with desired thickness. Smooth out the edges, folds, and lines with finger and water.
